Blue Grass Airport Flying High with Opening of Kentucky Ale Taproom

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 11, 2012) – Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company soars to new heights with the opening of the Kentucky Ale Taproom at the Blue Grass Airport.

As a new dining spot is added to the Blue Grass Airport, travelers will have a chance to sample one of Kentucky Ale’s trio of beers, among other Alltech products.

Kentucky Ale’s general manager and national sales manager Matt Cordle said, “Travelers want to taste a bit of the local flavor when they visit a new city. We want to make them feel welcome and showcase what Lexington has to offer. From our Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale to our Town Branch Bourbon, travelers are sure to find something they enjoy from the Bluegrass.”

The Kentucky Ale Taproom will be operated by Creative Food Group.  Creative Food Group is a minority-owned company with over 40 restaurants and 16 years of operating experience in high volume locations including restaurants in Newark Liberty International Airport, Baltimore-Washington International Airport and New York Penn Station.

Creative Food Group president Ali Isani said, “We are excited to be a part of a local icon such as Kentucky Ale. This is only the beginning to a great partnership with Alltech and Blue Grass Airport.”

With this addition to Blue Grass Airport, officials are pleased to be able to offer another opportunity for travelers to experience Lexington, without even leaving the airport.

Blue Grass Airport executive director Eric Frankl reiterated that point, “We are very pleased with the new renovations and even happier that we could partner with a local company like Alltech to welcome people to Lexington.  We are hopeful these changes will result in an improved customer experience for those traveling through our airport.”

The Kentucky Ale Taproom will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.  It is located next to the Concourse B entrance.  Other Alltech products featured in the Kentucky Ale Taproom include Alltech Angus, Town Branch Bourbon, Pearse Lyons Reserve and Bluegrass Sundown.
